Automated Start/Stop VM is a powerful feature under Cost Management Features, designed to streamline the control of virtual machine (VM) activity while minimizing unnecessary cloud expenditures. Unlike manual controls, this feature allows users to define automated schedules for starting and stopping VMs based on business needs, project cycles, or off-peak hours—ensuring that compute resources are only active when truly needed.

1. Create a Schedule:

   • Click the "Edit Schedule" icon to modify the schedule.

     

2. Set Parameters:

   • Set the Start and Stop Times, Recurrence (Days), and Time Zone, then click the Save button to activate the schedule.
