Cost Management Features
Native Cloud Auto Scaler
Native Cloud Auto Scaler is a powerful feature within the Cost Management Features suite, designed to automatically adjust the number of running cloud resources—such as virtual machines (VMs), containers, or services—based on real-time demand and usage patterns. This native capability, integrated directly with the cloud provider, enables organizations to achieve optimal performance while minimizing costs by scaling resources up or down without manual intervention.
Example: If an application has 10 virtual machines, you can schedule them collectively as a scale—either for the entire day or at specific times for individual resources.
To use this feature, navigate to the "Native Cloud Auto Scaler" from the navigation panel.
For example: To create an Auto Scaler Set for the Landing Zone "HR-Prod" and the application "Workday", click the "+Create Auto Scaler Set" button.
Here, you can name the Auto Scaler Set and select resources (e.g., Virtual Machines) from the dropdown list.
After selecting the machines, you can schedule them as needed and save the configuration by clicking the "Create" button.
To apply the same schedule to all selected VMs, check the "Apply same schedule to all VMs" checkbox.
You can also:
Edit an existing Scaler Set by clicking the Edit icon.
Delete it using the Delete icon.
View details about the Scaler Set by clicking the Details icon, located next to the Edit icon.
Clicking the Details button will display information about the Scaler Set, including:
The resources assigned to it.
The schedule configured for those resources.
Clicking the Edit button allows you to modify the name, schedule, and number of resources in the Auto Scaler Set.
